Fifty-six-year-old Golden Globe winner for Working Girl, Melanie Griffith, filed a petition on June 6 in a Los Angeles court to divorce her husband of 18 years, 53-year-old Spanish actor, producer, singer, and dancer Jose Antonio Dominguez Banderas, The Associated Press reported.
Griffith and Banderas tied the knot in 1996 and have a 17-year-old daughter together. The divorce petition cited irreconcilable differences.
In her court filing, Griffith, who has “Antonio” tattooed on her right shoulder, indicated that she is seeking spousal support from Banderas. However, she is willing to pay for her own attorney’s fees. She signed the divorce petition on May 30 but did not indicate the date of separation.
