Current driver for Stewart-Haas and former race champ Kurt Busch has been indefinitely suspended by NASCAR after being involved in a domestic violence dispute with his girlfriend, Patricia Driscoll, Yahoo! Sports reported on February 20.
In a statement, NASCAR said the driver would not be allowed to join any NASCAR event until further notice. Busch and his girlfriend were involved in what seemed to be a domestic violence incident on September 26. Driscoll said Busch choked her and slammed her against a wall. Busch, meanwhile, rejected the claims and accused his ex of other charges, such as being a trained killer. The court recently granted Driscoll a protective order against Busch.
Meanwhile, Chevrolet announced it is cutting ties with Busch for an indefinite period of time.
